Little S' Journey

Speech Clarity

When we first met Little S (2 years old), he had little speech and presented with initial consonant deletion (a phonological disorder) 💬

Here, we see ‘initial consonant deletion’ - omitting of initial consonant (e.g., “un” for “sun”). To work on it, we primarily focused on beginning sounds in various ways (e.g., introducing letter sounds, emphasizing targeted sounds, echoic training, etc.).

We are so proud to see how far Little S has come in his speech to be able to articulate words clearly 🥳

Expanding Language

On his next set of goals, we worked towards his language and communication, such as building upon his requesting skills, vocabulary development, receptive language, attributes, and asking/answering questions, amongst others! 🌟
